NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh LLC supplies energy-efficient and environmentally-sound district heating and/or cooling services to buildings on the north side of Pittsburgh, Pa., in a service area anchored by the Carnegie Science Center, PNC Park and Allegheny General Hospital.

Serving more than 25 customer buildings, the Energy Center provides both district heating and cooling services to a total of 6.3 million sq ft of building space. We produce and distribute steam used for heating, domestic hot water, humidification and sterilization; hot water for space heating and domestic use; and chilled water for air conditioning.

NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh is a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG Thermal LLC , an NRG Energy Inc. company. The Energy Center is a public utility regulated by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
