Energy Centers

NRG Thermal owns and operates numerous district energy systems and combined heat and power plants called Energy Centers. The Energy Centers are committed to providing customer-focused service that is an excellent value to customers of all shapes and sizes.

Many of the Energy Centers have been in operation for decades, demonstrating a long-term commitment to customers. In fact, customers often sign service agreements of 20 years or more, confident we are here for the long haul.

Customers confirm that the Energy Centers deliver more than just energy. They deliver on their promises and deliver many benefits as well.

are reliable,
offer lower life-cycle costs,
are environmentally sound and energy efficient,
make buildings easy to operate and maintain as well as comfortable and convenient, and

            NRG Energy Center Paxton Creek LLC

NRG Energy Center Paxton Creek LLC – Harrisburg, Pa. – NRG Thermal owns Paxton Creek Cogeneration Plant, a merchant plant adjacent to NRG Energy Center Harrisburg’s Bruce Mangione Steam Plant. It features two 6 MW diesel generators with heat-recovery boilers capable of producing 7,000 lb/hr of steam for sale to the Energy Center’s steam business. The plant also generates electricity for Energy Center use and for sale into the PJM grid.

 

 

 

            Camas Power Boiler Inc.

Camas Power Boiler Inc. – Camas, Wash. –NRG Thermal owns the 240,000 lb/hr high-pressure boiler serving Georgia-Pacific Co. The natural gas and biomass-powered boiler helps meet the company’s industrial process and electrical generation needs
